French Green Beans with Mushroom

It's the holiday time of the year and we often entertain with a variety of dishes, which often include a lot of meat dishes. Here is a veggie dish that is sophisticated, easy to make and so delicious that can accompany any dinners, including those pot luck ones that we often get invited to during this holiday time.  It's also so versatile that if you don't have any herbs de Provence at home, you can Asianize it by adding in some soy sauce. (Here's a video to see how fast and easy this dish is.)

RECIPE for 4-6 servings

1 lb of french green beans
1 handful of sliced baby portobello mushroom
1 handful of toasted almonds slices
1 tbs of minced garlic
1 tbs of minced shallot
1/2 tsp of herbs de Provence
1 tbs olive oil
1 tsp of unsalted butter
Salt to taste or soy sauce

Add oil and butter to hot saute pan. Add in garlic and shallots and saute for a 2-3 mins or until fragrant. Then add in green beans and mushroom. Saute until green bean is cook but still has a slight crunch. Add in the herbs and almond slices. Add soy sauce or salt to taste.
