This is my favorite quickie pasta dish that has proven itself to satisfy everybody, even the picky eaters. Kids love it, parents love it, and I love it so much that I have to remind myself to not eat so much and save some for the kids. I love that it has the least amount of ingredients, takes only a few minutes to make, and it costs about the price of one happy meal. Hey, can't go wrong when it's fast, good, and cheap! That's a rare combo. Also, something about the soy sauce that makes the pasta even more tasty. Yep, I've Asianized it. So, I hope you enjoy and make this dish soon.
RECIPE for 4-5 servings.
1 box of 16 oz. pasta shells, cook according to package
8 slices of bacon, diced small
1 tbs minced garlic
1/4 of medium white onion, diced
8 oz of spaghetti sauce
1 tbs sugar
2 tbs soy sauce
pinch of salt
cracked black pepper
Add 1 tbs of cooking oil to pan and render out the bacon for 4-5 mins, on high heat. Add a pinch of salt and sugar to get it golden faster.
Add onion and garlic, saute for 4 mins. Add spaghetti sauce, then add pasta. Lower heat to med-hi. Toss well.
Season with 2 tbs of soy sauce, black pepper, salt and sugar to taste.
Cook for another 3-5 mins to give pasta a little crunchy crust, depending on your taste. Enjoy!!!!
